Seda Mimaroğlu is an artist, poet, researcher, and writer from Istanbul, living in Berlin. She works across text, sound, and image, often in collaborative constellations that bring together poetry, music, performance, and research. With a background in comparative literature, art history, law, and philosophy, her practice moves between artistic and discursive forms, engaging questions of language, translation, mythologies, and historical rupture.

Alongside her artistic practice, she founded and runs maḳām, an independent space for art, literature, and community in Berlin-Friedenau, and maḳām editions, an independent publishing imprint with its first titles forthcoming in 2026.

Together with musician Andreas Reihse, she forms the duo İkili (since 2016). In 2025, she took part in the Șona AIR residency in Romania with Raluca Popa.
